Don't have a title for her yet
But I'm getting her framed for the Queen West Art Crawl right now ^^
Acrylics, Wood, Ink, Chalk Pastels
24x24
:O oops, she's a bit cut off in the photograph. it's floral at the bottom though :)
i used a photograph of Natalia Vodianova as my reference for this painting. she's just so beautiful! i'm in love with her little nose, hahaha~
WOW! My trackpad on my mac is so freaking sensitive today. i've been having a hard time dragging files into different folderes on my mac, so i changed some of the system preferences. dragging seems to work fine now, easier then ever. but now whenever i touch the tracking pad by accident while typing....crazy things gets selected X____x this is so bad, lol. i want a real mouse!
Anyways, this painting is a combination of inspirations and an older painting i did when i was in grade 8 or 9 (i'll try to find a photo of it later.) Of a couple in a boat surrounded by water lillies. I really like Amy Sol colour pallete. i think she is like colour guru! she creates colours that i didnt know was possible and existed! and chooses colours that works so well together! and I thought I was decent at colour choosing and mixing (at least with watercolours), but she is like A BILLION TIMES BETTER! I LOVE the muted pallete, it's so earthy and natura! i find that it's really hard to make the colours she uses in her painting. i hardly never! paint with muted colours. it's so hard but i love it. i would really like to experiment with using more browns and olive greens and maroons now~
